Budget & Finance Committee

Most Budget & Finance Committees at HOAs are comprised of owners who have agreed to regularly examine budgets and review HOA books, accounts and finances to provide an addition level of safeguards to protect the funds the Board of Directors manages on behalf of the owners. Owners interested in chairing or joining this committee should send email to the BoardHOA@sandybrae.org

Community Relations & Welcome Committee

The Community Relations & Welcome Committee is comprised of residents who arrange to greet new homeowners on behalf of our community. Typically, the committee members offer the new resident(s) a small welcoming gift along with information packets about the community and the surrounding exurbs. The Committee also calls upon neighbors who have been hospitalized or had an illness and makes condolence visits with neighbors who have lost a close member of the family. The group has organized regular community Clean-up Weekends. The board appointed Rebecca Beppler as chairperson, and she previously served on the Rules & By-Laws Committee. Executive Nomination & Election Committee (Ad Hoc)

This Executive Nomination & Election Committee is required to be chaired by a member of the Board of Directors who with the help of other directors and/or owners agree to manage the annual HOA nomination and election process for the Board of Directors. Elections typically occur in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the HOA. The committee, formed every year will be appointed to oversee the Annual August nominations and election for directors.

Landscape Committee

The new Landscape Committee is comprised of residents who look to facilitate activities having to do with trees, shrubs, plantings and other landscape use. The board appointed Jim Kontra as Chairperson, and he has a long history of doing this kind of field work for our community. Rules & By-Laws Review Committee (Ad Hoc)

The Rules & By-Laws Committee is comprised of eight owners who have agreed to review the Sandy Brae Rules & Regulations and the By-Laws with the goal of considering whether any updates and changes may be necessary. This Ad Hoc Committee, this committee of eight owners will disband once the board adopts/rejects its proposed changes to the Rules and By-Laws.

Social Committee

The Social Committee takes on the task of delivering social events for the owners and renters in our community. The board appointed Carolyn Ramsey as Chairperson, and Carolyn was one of the original organizers of the Garage Sale.
